Sympathisch, Flexibel, Ermutigend. Viel Fortschritt in meinem ersten Jahr als eine erwachsene Studentin!
Learning a new instrument, in particular string, can be scary for adult learners! I started with Bea in my late 30s and she helped me feel comfortable about learning the cello.
She's very friendly, encouraging, and flexible to suit a busy full-time job schedule of mine. She knows when to "move-on" to keep the lesson engaging & progressing, when to "skip pages" when it's clear I can do it on my own at home, and when to "stop me" in order to focus on key skills and habits that need correction right there and then.
I've been learning with Bea for exactly one year now, and I'm very happy to say I'm progressing much faster than I ever expected and also really enjoying the gift of music. 1 year on, I'm playing Bach prelude 1 in a decent way and also already covered positions 1-7. Of course, one needs to practice and put in the work herself. Having an encouraging teacher certainly helps a lot!!!
